What is Self Check-In?
Self Check-In is the procedure that allows guests of an accommodation facility to carry out the Check-In operation without the physical presence of the manager upon their arrival.
The Self Check-In can be performed in different ways, through XDOM BNB the data are sent by the customer, through a special web area, to the manager who can validate them and consequently, in an automated way, enable the customer to open the entrance doors and his room through the XDOM BNB app / webapp, and therefore without the need to hand over the keys.
What is the size of an XDOM SWITCH device?
The device is designed to fit perfectly into traditional 503 cassettes.
It needs a 220 V power supply to work.
How many doors can I open with an XDOM SWITCH device?
Each utility, door or gate must be connected to its own XDOM SWITCH device.
You can request the PRO version to open two entrances with a single device.
Where is it preferable to install an XDOM SWITCH device?
For correct operation, it is preferable to install the device inside the room that you want to reserve for the customer, in a 503E box or in a junction box.
If you want to automate an electric gate, the XDOM device can be installed instead of the traditional button.
How does XDOM SWITCH work?
Once installed, the XDOM module must be configured at first use via the official XDOM BNB app.
During the configuration, a Wi-Fi network must be set up to which the device can connect. This operation takes a couple of minutes and must be carried out only once, once finished it will be possible to open the lock remotely immediately.
I have the classic lock with the key, how should I proceed?
To install the XDOM BNB SWITCH door opener, you will need to implement the electrical system to connect it to the electromechanical openings.
As regards the lock of the access door, there are various options: if you already have an electrified lock you will simply have to connect it; if, on the other hand, you have a normal mechanical lock, you can have it replaced or accompanied by a suitable one.
If you prefer the smart cylinder, you just have to replace the one already present with the smart cylinder, making sure that the lock is compatible with a European profile cylinder.
Who will take care of the installation?
The installation can be carried out by a qualified electrician, we can send one of our technicians or provide remote assistance.
The installation at the facility is the responsibility of the buyer.
What happens if the internet doesn't work?
The SWITCH continues to operate via Bluetooth automatically.
As soon as the connection becomes available, again automatically, it will reconnect to the network.
I can't electrify the door, what can I do?
You can use the XDOM BNB smart cylinder, this device replaces the common European cylinder, is installed in a few minutes, does not require any interventions on the door and is powered by batteries. It allows opening via app, numeric pin, card, fingerprint (for the manager / staff) and through mechanical keys.
